This futuristic urban landmark is the perfect example of how lush greenery should be introduced into a vibrant, 21st century metropolis.
These 25 to 50 metre-tall supertrees are gradually-growing vertical gardens with canopies providing shade in the equatorial climate.
Singapore by many accounts is one of the most technologically advanced places on the planet.
While politically quite questionable, it is undoubtedly a solid meritocracy with a rocketing economy, boasting good examples for sustainable urban living.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
With a population of more than five million people, Singapore is often recognized as one of the most forward-thinking green cities in Asia. The city-state has developed a Sustainable Development Blueprint, which outlines sustainability goals leading up to 2030:
